ITALO SUPPORTS THE EXCELLENCE OF ITALIAN CINEMA IN VENICE
Rome / Venice, September 10, 2025 – Once again this year, Italo, a long-standing supporter of culture and the performing arts, has accompanied Italian cinema to Venice, transporting actors, directors, and talents to the Lido with style, comfort, and high-speed travel.
Italo had the pleasure of welcoming the cast of highly anticipated films such as “La valle dei sorrisi”, a horror set in a mysterious and hidden place that explores the fragility of identity and the desperate need for belonging. Traveling with Italo were lead actor Michele Riondino, rising star Romana Maggiora Vergano, director Paolo Strippoli, and young talent Giulio Feltri.
For the eagerly awaited RAI drama “Portobello”, which recounts the dramatic story of Enzo Tortora, the renowned television host, Italo hosted the lead actor Fabrizio Giufini, Fausto Russo Alesi, and Romana Maggiora Vergano.
Regarding the legal drama “L’isola di Andrea”, centered on the painful custody battle between Marta and Guido over their only child, Italo welcomed director Antonio Capuano—who wrote and directed the film—and actors Teresa Saponangelo and young Andrea Migliucci.
Many other directors, actors, and industry professionals also boarded Italo, enjoying moments of relaxation in the lounges. Among the familiar and beloved faces were Claudia Gerini, Dino Abbrescia, Susy Laude, Rocío Muñoz Morales, Ilaria Spada, Roberto Ciufoli, Paolo Genovese, Paola Minaccioni, Giovanni Esposito, Susy Del Giudice, Giampaolo Morelli, Gloria Bellicchi, Francesco Di Leva, Teresa Saponangelo, Lucia Mascino, and many others.
The Italo Club Lounges at Roma Termini and Venezia Santa Lucia were transformed into film sets and gift rooms thanks to a collaboration with My Style Bags Milano, a symbol of Made in Italy excellence in personalized travel accessories. A special touch of attention for our guests.
A major highlight of this edition was the collaboration with the Italian Red Cross, which brought together well-known figures from the entertainment and solidarity worlds both in the lounges and on board. Italo supported the project “Sport, Health and Inclusion – Italy”, an initiative by the Italian Red Cross promoting sports, healthy lifestyles, and a more inclusive future for young people pursuing their dreams. Among the talents involved: Eleonora Daniele, Michela Quattrociocche, Stefano Pantano, Stefano Maniscalco, and Giulia Calenda.
Thanks to 24 daily connections from Roma Termini, Italo turned the journey to Venice into a unique and stylish experience—just like the tradition of great Italian cinema.
With Italo, cinema stars travel at high speed.
