Rome, April 22, 2025 – The collaboration between Italo and Uber continues and expands to ensure travelers an even smoother and uninterrupted transportation experience. After the initial launch in Rome and Milan, the service now extends to new cities, covering the stations of Torino Porta Nuova, Torino Porta Susa, Napoli Centrale, Bologna Centrale, Firenze Santa Maria Novella, Padova, Treviso Centrale, Verona Porta Nuova, Vicenza, Venezia Mestre, Venezia Santa Lucia, and Trieste Centrale.
Thanks to this expansion, Italo passengers will be able to organize their journey even more easily, relying on the integration with Uber to reach their final destination without having to wait or look for last-minute alternatives. Through the Italo and Uber apps, it will be possible to book transfers in advance, choosing the solution that best suits their needs thanks to the Uber Reserve function.
"After the success achieved in Rome and Milan from the synergy with Uber, we decided to expand it, involving new cities in our network. The goal is to offer complete solutions to our travelers, facilitating their movements, covering even the last mile," said Fabrizio Bona, Chief Commercial Officer of Italo.
"Our mission is to simplify mobility, offering innovative and accessible solutions to everyone," commented Lorenzo Pireddu, General Manager of Uber Italy. "The expansion of the partnership with Italo represents an important step forward, allowing an increasing number of travelers to move comfortably, safely, and immediately from the main Italian stations."
In recent months, the integration between the two platforms has proven to meet a real market need, with a significant increase in bookings for transfers to and from the stations of Rome and Milan. With the arrival of the good season and the growing number of trips for tourism and work, the availability of the service in new cities responds to the increasing demand for efficient and integrated mobility solutions.
To celebrate the expansion of the service, all new Uber users who use the service at one of the stations covered by the collaboration will be able to enjoy a 50% discount on their first rides. Another opportunity to experience the convenience of a journey that, thanks to this collaboration, becomes even simpler and worry-free. Additionally, to celebrate the growth of the synergy, two Italo trains have been internally branded to give visibility to the agreement with Uber.
About Uber Uber's mission is to create opportunities through movement. We started in 2010 by solving a simple problem: how can you get around with just a click? Over 44 billion rides later, we continue to work to create useful products that bring people closer to the places they want to be. By changing the way people, food, and things move in cities, Uber is a platform that opens the world to new possibilities.
About Italo Italo is the first private Italian operator on the high-speed rail network. The Italo train fleet consists of 25 AGV 575 trains and 26 Italo EVO trains.
