ITALO MAKES ITS CINEMATIC DEBUT WITH A NEW 60” COMMERCIAL CREATED BY DDB GROUP ITALY

Rome/Milan, September 18, 2025 — Italo’s journey continues and now conquers the big screen. Starting today through September 24, the brand’s spectacular new 60-second film from the “Italo is magic” campaign, created by DDB Group Italy and already airing on TV and across digital and social channels, arrives in Italian cinemas.

Following the success of the spots launched last May — part of an integrated campaign that included digital, social, OOH and DOOH — the brand and agency unveil a long-cut version packed with even more dazzling adventures that come to life aboard Italo trains. This new visual and narrative experience is even more immersive and dynamic, enhanced by the iconic notes of Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” which add rhythm to a vibrant and energetic montage and imagery. The film continues to promote the idea of a travel experience so extraordinary it becomes pure imagination. Exceptional settings like the Wild West and Outer Space are paired with memorable characters inspired by cinematic genres that have fueled childhood dreams and fantasies.

“It’s a source of pride, but also a deeply emotional moment, to see our commercial on the big screens of Italian cinemas. It’s a project we’ve invested significant resources and energy into — the result of cutting-edge technology and the undeniable expertise of all the professionals involved. Seeing Italo race across cinema screens is a new milestone, made possible by the excellence of our services,” said Fabrizio Bona, Chief Commercial Officer of Italo.

Luca Cortesini, Chief Creative Officer at DDB, added: “This is the kind of project you’re lucky to execute so well only when you have a client who listens and an agency with something to say. When both sides move at the same speed — and in this case, we truly did, given the challenging production timeline — the result is this: a precious film that stands out from the noise of the Italian media landscape, backed by top-tier production, telling a story of excellence with equal excellence. Reaching cinemas, a place of great strategic and human value, is the perfect ending.”

This new format, once again produced by KAREN FILM and directed by the award-winning Ernest Desumbila, with support from his renowned animation and post-production studio SAUVAGE.IT, will also be released in 30” and 15” cuts. The media plan spans Cinema, TV, Digital, Social, and large-format billboards in major Italian cities and train stations.
