Italo, Mobility Partner of the 2026 David di Donatello Awards

Rome, April 30, 2026 – Italo becomes Mobility Partner of the 2026 David di Donatello Awards. The rail company has long supported great Italian and international cinema, often turning the train itself into a true on‑screen character—and in many cases, a leading one—in numerous films.

As with every form of artistic expression, Italo actively promotes the uniqueness and cultural richness of Italy. Its close bond with the world of cinema is further highlighted by the recent launch of the ITALO RED CARPET platform. Even its name is a direct nod to the film industry: the platform allows travelers to frequently win tickets to Italy’s top cinemas or to be guests at movie premieres organized by Italo.

Through a structured program of initiatives and partnerships, Italo reaffirms its commitment to promoting culture and excellence within Italy’s national system, placing the travel experience and access to major cultural events at its core. Within this framework, Italo’s support for the 2026 David di Donatello Awards—one of the most prestigious events in Italian cinema—takes shape.

On the occasion of the Awards, Italo is launching the contest “Win a Red Carpet Night.” From today through May 3, 2026, members of the Italo Più Loyalty Program can take part in a competition offering the chance to enjoy an exclusive experience linked to the prestigious David di Donatello Awards ceremony. The prize includes a return Italo journey in Prima Business class, one night at the four‑star NYX Hotel Rome by Leonardo Hotels, dedicated transfers in partnership with Uber, and two invitations to the David di Donatello Awards Ceremony. This initiative is part of RedCarpet, Italo’s proprietary platform dedicated to promoting cultural events, shows, and experiences across Italy.

Italo will also take part in the final awards evening with dedicated content and guests, underscoring the strong connection between rail travel and Italian cinema, and will host the protagonists of the final ceremony onboard its trains as they travel to Rome. Through RedCarpet, Italo continues to offer experiences, content, and initiatives designed to reward customer loyalty and encourage participation in the country’s cultural life.

As always, this year’s edition features major figures competing for top honors: from Cinque Secondi by Paolo Virzì to La Grazia by Paolo Sorrentino (to name just a few of the nominees for Best Film), as well as Valeria Golino and Aurora Quattrocchi among the candidates for Best Actress, and leading actors such as Toni Servillo, Claudio Santamaria, and Valerio Mastandrea in contention for Best Actor.

“We are always ready to support art in all its forms. Cinema is one of the symbols of the ‘Made in Italy’: through Italian and international films, we are also able to showcase our country’s beauty, as demonstrated by the steadily growing phenomenon of film tourism in Italy. We are proud to promote such a prestigious award as the David di Donatello,” said Dora Bonadies, Head of Network & Market Development at Italo.
