Italo and Susan G.Komen Italia together for prevention and health protection of its employees!
Susan G.Komen Italia is an organization funded on volunteering, on the front row for the fight against breast cancer all over Italy with the aim of raising people’s awareness, improving treatments and gathering funds.
Italo welfare, rich in instruments focused on the needs of the Italo employees, varies from travel packages to vouchers, from gym subscription to those for public transport, from medical benefits for certain medical services to the inscription to foreign language courses, and much more.
Thanks to this service, for those who work for Italo was set a mobile station of the Komen Italia, on the 10th and 11th April in the central Italo headquarters, to offer a free breast screening to women employees and a free skin check to all of his workers. Two days based on prevention, solidarity and information, with precious advice about right habits to have (from those about food to the ones about fitness, passing through some small prevention actions to do daily), provided directly by the medical staff of the Breast Health Care Centre of Policlinico Gemelli.
Moreover, on May, 21, an Italo team (composed just by workers) took part in the 5km Race for the Cure in Rome (the most important for the fight to breast cancer) and step on the podium like "rookie team".
The partnership was replied with a free breast screening and free skin check both in Bologna (on the 22nd e 23rd September, furthermore there was Race for the Cure on Sunday 24th) both in Milan (on the 2nd of October), contributing to the fundraiser.
Thanks to the Race for the Cure more than 13.000.000 euro have been gathered over the years to realize more than 700 projects about the fight against breast cancer all over the country.
