For Woman's Day 2017, Italo supported ActionAid in the fight against discrimination and gender violence, confirming its concrete commitment to promoting social responsibility.
For a week, at its lounges in Roma and Milano, Italo hosted ActionAid's ambassadors and two photography exhibitions on the organisation's initiatives to fight violence against women and to assert their right to access and own the land they work on.
The Italo Club lounge of the Roma Termini station hosted the "Women in Afghanistan" exhibit, about daily life, the strength of small gestures and the progress made thanks to the "Stop Violence Against Women" project in a country in which, for a woman, even just leaving the house is an act of courage. The shots of the "Women farmers in the south of the world" exhibit were shown at the Italo Club lounge of the Milano Centrale station. This exhibit has promoted the right of women to own and inherit land and to have access to training and credit for agricultural businesses.
