Genovesino. Nature and invention in the 17th century painting

Italo supports art; that is why all travellers going to Cremona via Italobus are entitled to a discount for the exhibition dedicated to “Genovesino. Nature and invention in the 17th century painting”,* held in the Gallery of the Ala Ponzone Civic Museum of Cremona until 4th February 2018.

Here you can admire the portraits made by Luigi Miradori, more known as “Genovesino”. These paintings are evidence of the artist’s great psychological skills; indeed, the sacred scenes are still considered nowadays among the most intense and original interpretations of the 17th century painting, while the small lively pictures show a vividly realistic representation of the years following the 1630 plague described by Manzoni.

Italo is proud to give its contribution to the knowledge and diffusion of all pieces of art present in the towns belonging to its Network.
