M'Illumino Di Meno 2025

In 2025, M’illumino di Meno celebrates its 21st edition, and once again, Italo is participating in the awareness campaign promoted by Rai Radio 2 and the radio program “Caterpillar,” which encourages more sustainable lifestyles. This year's theme is fast fashion, a topic on which awareness is growing and new production and consumption practices are being experimented with. The environmental impact of fast fashion is significant, but in recent years, many initiatives have emerged that promote the reuse and enhancement of clothing.

M’illumino di Meno 2025 aims to give voice to these alternatives in all their forms: swap parties, upcycling, second hand... In support of the campaign, Italo has renewed its collaboration with HUMANA People to People Italia. Already in 2019, this partnership allowed the collection of 435 kg of used clothing thanks to the involvement of Italo staff, saving 2.61 thousand liters of water, reducing the use of 261 kg of fertilizers and 131 kg of pesticides, and cutting the emission of 1566 kg of carbon dioxide.

On February 19, the company will reintroduce this initiative by setting up two collection points in the hubs of Rome and Milan, using Ecoboxes, containers for collecting clothing provided by Humana, with the aim of raising employee awareness about the recovery of used clothing and the circular economy.

Italo firmly believes that the circular economy, oriented towards resource regeneration, is not just a choice but a necessary condition to ensure a sustainable future, equity in development, and respect for the environment.
