DigithON is an event which offers 100 digital startuppers the opportunity to submit their project to an audience of major Italian and international investors, but also to small and medium-sized enterprises.
DigithON's objective is, in fact, to introduce the financial community to the world of startups, which often find it difficult to access the resources they need to launch their services. This year the event took place, for its second edition, from 22 to 25 June 2017 and Italo participated with pleasure. Italo had already taken part in the initiative in 2016 by providing tickets as a prize for one of the startups that won the competition.
The event, resulting from the synergy between the Chairman of the DigithON Association, Mr Francesco Boccia and the Chairman of Confindustria Bari-BAT, Mr Domenico De Bartolomeo, attracts Italian and foreign companies as well as major investors from around the world.
Italo, continually attentive to businesses of young entrepreneurs, awarded Marshmallow Games, the third ranking company: a startup from Bari that creates educational apps to stimulate learning school subjects by mixing editorial and playful content (for example "Math Tales", focused on learning maths, for children in the pre-school age, and "Explore&Play" that deals with subjects such as music and astronomy). The Puglia-based company will thus be able to use the Italo trains free of charge for one year.
