Italo inaugurated the beautiful photography exhibition "A Journey in Black and White Among the Icons of the Dolce Vita", a selection of shots from the Carlo Riccardi Archive, in the Italo Club lounge from 5 December 2016 until the end of the month. It was a journey along the Dolce Vita period, as seen through the shots of the most iconic of the paparazzi.
Riccardi, an Italian photographer and painter, used his shots to portray celebrities, politicians, popes, but also the common people for more than half a century, collecting it all in a huge archive of over four million photographs certified by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. His long career and constant presence during a flourishing period of important moments for Italy, led him to capture on film an exclusive sequence of popes, all the Italian presidents from Enrico De Nicola to Sergio Mattarella and many famous musicians from Italy and abroad.
Carlo Riccardi attended the vernissage, with his incredible tales of stars and Dolce Vita. Among the many guests, there were Director Francesco Patierno, on tour with his new documentary film “Naples '44" presented at the Festa del Cinema of Roma, the actresses Sandra Ceccarelli, Daniela Virgilio, Miriam Candurro, Elisa d'Ospino, Jil Cooper, Moise Curia and Alessio Vassallo.
Their host was Antonella Zivillica, Italo's External Relations Manager.
