On board Hostesses and Stewards are Italo’s calling card. They are key figures to welcome passengers and for their service and comfort. Travelling with Italo is considered an excellent experience by all our passengers. Professionalism, empathy and care are the distinctive elements of our on board staff.
Italo is recruiting 30 Hostesses and Stewards to be hired under an Apprenticeship contract for the following locations: Rome, Naples, Venice and Milan
As a Hostess or Steward, you will be the main point of reference for our passengers and will be responsible for:
- Welcoming customers with professionalism and courtesy
- Ensuring onboard catering service
- Maintaining order, cleanliness and the overall appearance of onboard areas
- Providing information and support to passengers
- Collaborating with the Train Manager in operational activities
- Representing Italo’s brand style and values
Requirements and skills:
- High school diploma or university degree
- At least two years of experience in tourism, transport or personal services
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Availability to work in one of the listed locations
- Study or work experience abroad will be considered a plus

🎓 Onboarding and Training Path
Employment will start with an Apprenticeship contract.During the first weeks, you will take part in a structured training program, beginning with classroom sessions and continuing onboard Italo trains, where you will receive all the necessary training to become autonomous in service delivery and in managing any operational disruptions.The training program is an integral part of the apprenticeship and is mandatory to achieve full role eligibility.
