Cruise ships are getting closer to home
- The MSC Cruises and Italo connection service starts tomorrow to link the main Italian cities with the ports of Civitavecchia, Naples, and Venice. - With multimodal transport (train/bus/ship), those departing on a cruise will be able to reach the embarkation port even more easily and comfortably. - This is the first multimodal train/bus/ship service available in Europe.

• Throughout history, many Italian women have contributed to scientific and technological development but are not widely known to the public. • On March 8th, Italo will name one of its trains after Laura Bassi, the first female university professor and the first European woman to obtain a university teaching position in physics. Throughout the year, through a contest involving its employees, other female scientists from the past will be selected to have trains named after them. This project aims to remember the contributions of women to technological and scientific development. • The company will form partnerships with leading Italian universities to support the academic paths of young female STEM students. Even today, there is a significant gender gap in these disciplines: the male share of STEM degrees is 37%, while the female share is less than 17%.

The shareholders Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Flavio Cattaneo, Giovanni Punzo, Isabella Seragnoli, Alberto Bombassei and Peninsula, reinvest in the company share for a total amount of €150 MLN. Luca Cordero di Montezemolo confirmed chairman, Flavio Cattaneo CEO.
